Microsoft Exchange Connector will be discontinued on April 1, 2027
Microsoft will discontinue the Exchange Web Services (EWS) service for Exchange Online on April 1, 2027. This will also affect the EWS-based Microsoft Exchange Connector in the PASCOM Cloud PBX.
What's changing?
The current Microsoft Exchange Connector uses the Exchange Web Services (EWS) provided by Microsoft to make contacts from Exchange Online available in PASCOM. Since Microsoft will discontinue this service on April 1, 2027, the connector will no longer be able to retrieve data after that date. The connection to Exchange Online will then no longer work.
What do you need to do?
If you are currently using the Microsoft Exchange Connector with Exchange Online, you must switch to the new Microsoft 365 Contacts Connector before April 1, 2027.
You can find the setup documentation here: Microsoft 365 Contacts
Is there an automatic migration process?
No.
There is no automatic migration to the Microsoft 365 Contacts Connector. The migration must be performed manually by your administrator or PASCOM partner.
No action is required if you are not using the Microsoft Exchange Connector in the PASCOM Cloud phone system.
