New in the pascom BETA cloud phone system: pascom AI agents

With our latest BETA update, we are bringing artificial intelligence directly to your cloud phone system! With the pascom BETA Cloud, you can now find a new entry in the telephone system menu under "Call Distribution → AI Agents," which you can be used to easily create and manage your own AI agents.

🤖 What are pascom AI agents?

AI agents are computer-controlled employees who independently answer calls and interact with your callers automatically. Based on your individually defined prompts, the agents ask specific questions, record the answers, and process them intelligently. Choose a ready-made AI agent for your industry or build your own.

For example, AI agents can:

  • Greet callers and pre-qualify them,
  • Request information about reason for calling, callback times, or customer data,
  • and then automatically make the information available in your pascom app.

🧠 New AI Labels

All collected responses are packaged into labels by the AI agents and displayed directly within pascom app's call history / call details. This provides you with an instant overview of caller information that is already available. In addition, the call is briefly summarised in the notes.

💼 Your advantages

✅ Automated call answering – Your calls are handled professionally even outside business hours.
✅ Faster processes – Pre-qualified calls save time and resources.
✅ Higher customer satisfaction – callers receive immediate responses and structured feedback.
✅ Easy setup – New AI agents can be configured directly within the pascom cloud telephone system.

🚧 Still in its infancy – but with great potential

The introduction of AI agents is only the first step. In the future, we will continuously expand the functions to offer even more automation, language comprehension, and integration options.

New improvements to the pascom BETA apps

The latest pascom App BETA update contains helpful improvements and exciting new features.

🚪 More flexible door intercom video stream integration

The pascom BETA app uses the door intercom system's WebView, allowing the video stream to be integrated much more flexibly.

📶 Stable calls with network changeovers (WiFi/LTE)

If your device switches from an LTE network to a Wi-Fi network (or vice versa) during an ongoing call, the call will now continue with as few interruptions as possible - even if the connection is temporarily disrupted.

📩 Improved unread messages placement

A new section at the bottom of the chat has been added to clearly highlight unread messages - so you can see at a glance what's new.

🗑️ Improved unread call history items as read feature

It is now possible to mark more than 50 unread call history entries as read all at once. The previous limit of 50 no longer applies.

📞 Display on Yealink headsets improved

The Yealink base station displays now show the caller's phone number instead of just “Unknown caller”.

Mobile pairing via e-mail and new authorization for chats in the BETA channel

There are currently two new improvements to try out in the BETA channel. Administrators can generate an e-mail for mobile pairing, with which a user can pair their smartphone/mobile phone.

You can find instructions on how to do this in the documentation

In addition, users can now be given chat authorization, which allows them to use the full functionality of the chats. This means that they can create their own chats with colleagues or group chats. Users without this authorization are restricted. A description of the chat authorization can be found in these instructions

Create AI prompts with text-to-speech - try it out now

All BETA testers can now test the new text-to-speech feature and create their own announcements with a simple text input in the Admin Dashboard. It has never been so easy and convenient.

  • Add a new greeting and give it a name. (e.g. welcome-prompt)
  • Enter the text to be converted into an announcement (e.g. Welcome to XY)
  • Select the voice and you're done!

Of course, you can change the announcement where it is placed at any time. We love this feature - what do you think?

WebApp for conferences with guests, in a new look

pascom BETA testers can currently test the new design of the pascom Web App. Our new app design offers web meeting guests greater comfort with a modern look and feel.

To use and test the new web app design, a new pascom group must be created or the "allow guests" mode of an existing group must be disabled and then re-enabled.

To find out more about becoming a pascom BETA tester, please refer to this forum thread.
